Both Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours and Lancastrian Transport Trust announced how pleased they were with the turn out at the Totally Transport event in 2014.
Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours said on their Facebook page:
‘We ran a total of five different trams during the day, and the heavy loads would seem to suggest that they were the star attraction!
The heritage trams were used on tours between Starr Gate and North Pier throughout the event, running every 20 minutes, and with this offering the rare chance to ride on a heritage tram south of the Pleasure Beach the trams were packed out all day! It was very rewarding to see a large number of visitors to Blackpool taking advantage of the £2.50 mini tour tickets, which allowed for one round trip, but sales of the £10 all day tickets showed that many people wanted to ride all five trams – which shows just how appealing the heritage trams are!’
While Lancastrian Transport Trust announced on their website:
‘Three buses provided the tour which was experienced by almost 700 passengers in total. The buses, well filled on many journeys, were Blackpool 529, Lytham 19 and Lytham 70.’
Overall feedback has been very positive. A great day!
